Since Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, it would be a great time for you to pop the question! I know, I know, it’s a cliché, but trust me even though we deny it (just to sound cool), we all crave for some romantic cheesiness from time to time! Below are some ideas!
My Proposal
I met George, my husband, through our common best friend Omar. On our second date, he looked me in the eyes and told me as bluntly as possible: “You know that we’re ending up together, right? A year from now, you’re going to be my wife.” I burst into laughter while thinking: “Aha! He’s one of those sweet talkers”. But I was mistaken. Exactly 8 months later, he popped the question in the most unexpected and adorable of ways!
I was sitting with my mother-in-law in their chalet by the beach, when I heard trumpets playing and people screaming. I ran to the balcony, only to find my husband on one knee amongst thousands of candles. I ran down to meet him, and there they were… He had gathered all of our friends, in customized shirts, to celebrate with us this once in a lifetime moment! I’m generally a shy person (getting better), but I somehow managed all of this fuss… of course with some really red cheeks.
Now, below I’ll be giving you some ideas on how to propose!!
For the shy & romantic girls
Whether it’s on the sands of the beach right next to your house or in some extravagantly romantic destination, proposing by the sea can’t go wrong. A dinner table with a white nap, candles literally everywhere, her favorite tunes, some good food and the ring and you’re good to go!
If you’re insisting on a getaway, check out some of the most romantic places in the world: Amalfi coast, Sardinia or Puglia in Italy, The Great Barrier Reef in Australia, The Islas Del Rosario in Colombia…
For The Crazy Ones
No matter where you are, the view from above will be breathtaking. Proposing in the sky… in the open air.Pop the question when you’re at the highest point. If she says no, throw yourself! I’m joking. Make sure you have your camera with you for a souvenir pic.
For The High School Lovers
If you have been with your girlfriend since high school or university it would be so perfect to propose there! Take her at night to the spot where you met, or held hands for the first time and ask her to be your wife where it all began!
For the Food Lovers
If she’s a food lover, you can really have fun here! Some cool options can be: to plant the ring in her popcorn while you’re at the movies, in her cocktail when you’re out with some friends, or even in the pizza delivered to your house!
