I think that Vogue found the perfect way to describe this summer’s trends. They used the word: PROFUSION. In fact, there were tons of different colors, textures and styles on the catwalks.

Below, I’ll be talking briefly about my favorite ones for the upcoming season!

Whether worn separately or together, black and white are still stronger than ever! Check out the below Jonathan Simkhai looks (one of my favorite designers right now).

There was also an abundant amount of red on the runways, and it’s perfect, since it suits blondes, brunettes and red headed!

Also, we wouldn’t call it summer without a touch of pastels, right?

Prints

Are you already bored with florals and stripes? Because I’ll never be!!! This summer, you’ll find florals in both dark and colorful ways.

Also, stripes are literally everywhere and in every possible color and form: in wide monochrome, geometrics etc… Trust me you’ll have a lot of fun wearing those prints!

Textures

Five years ago, lace used to pop-up every once in a while. However, now it’s here to stay and this is great since it’s one of the most feminine and romantic textures. Dolce remains of course the master of this trend!

Fishnets were very present three seasons ago, and they’re back this summer! However, this time they tend more towards sexy than athletic. I think that Mc Queen uses it perfectly.

Needless to say, denim will remain a strong trend this season. ‘Each X Other’ and ‘Frame’ offered some really amazing denim looks.

Special Effects

This is by far the shiniest trend of the season. You’ll find both metallic and sparkles. Metallics will give you a certain Star Wars/Sci-Fi mood; whereas sparkles will definitely give you a bling attitude!

Big Trends

Are you ready to discover Spain? You don’t need to travel. You can just throw on a ruffle dress and you’re almost there. I think that Mc Queen and Balmain did it best! Look at the below dresses, they’re to die for.

My Favorites:

Now, my favorite trend of the season: the night mode! We’re talking about everything that’s silky, sexy and provocative! They all did it: Wang, Givenchy, Celine, Saint Laurent… So dare do to it too! However, make sure you go minimal with your hair, make-up and even shoes, to avoid looking trashy. A few ways to wear your camisole silky top is either with an oversized pant, or underneath a mannish blazer. Moreover, there was also a lot of transparency!

Lastly, the off-the shoulders trend, that men adore! With a bit of tanning, a ponytail and some big earrings you will look sexier than ever!
