When I’m asked about an ideal style of clothing, I immediately think of the following combo: Laid Back / Effortless – Minimalist – Chic. So whenever I’m able to merge those 3 styles in one single outfit, I feel satisfied.

I’m quite a fan of contemporary brands, which are designer lines, that are easy to wear and most importantly, affordable! Yet, those brands did not have a very strong presence in Lebanon, until recently! I stepped into Aishti by The Sea …and what a delight! I found out that they have dedicated a whole floor exclusively for the finest contemporary brands like: Rag & Bone, Helmut Lang, Theory, Vince, Current/Eliott, Joie, Equipment, Alice+Olivia …

The fact that these contemporary shops are next to each other made my whole shopping experience much more efficient and a lot quicker. I was also impressed by the strong product knowledge that the staff had… I just had to tell them the style I’m looking for, and they would directly suggest a series of potential items…!

Not let’s talk business. I came up with a few looks, and I thought of sharing them with you. Find them below and let me know your honest opinion…

Look 1: Rag & bone 

One of my favorite brands! Their denims give a really flattering body shape; and that’s because the ‘lycra’ fabric in them is not overused. They also have some really nice outerwear giving quite an edgy overall look.

Look 2: Theory 

This is what I call perfect tailoring! I’m literally in love with these white pants and blazer. Minimalist, Effortless and Chic. The combo I was talking about earlier! I can wear them to a dinner, an event, a cocktail or a party. You’ll never regret investing in one of their pieces since they are timeless.

Look 3: Vince 

Even though they are know for their cashmere sweaters, Vince have developed all their lines (denim, shoes, bags). I’m so in love with this long cozy gray pullover that I will certainly wear with anything.

Looks 4 & 5: Alice+Olivia

I always find my cocktail dresses in Alice + Olivia. They are different and most importantly affordable! The texture and patterns in the first dress reminded me of the 20’s, which I love! Whereas the second dress is a very simple one that highlights the nice curves of a woman’s body.

Look 5: Current/Eliott 

The all denim look will never get out of trend! It’s fresh, young and gives you an effortless attitude! I always like matching denim with white or havane!

Oh and I got my eyes on a few pieces from Moncler and Napapijri for the ski season too!
